Dr. 帕耶尔·达塔获得了博士学位.D. in 生命科学 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI, NY), and her Ph.D. work focused on "Metabolic engineering mammalian cells for the production of value-added-biomolecules". Her postdoctoral work at Albany Medical College focused on developing and utilizing a 3D cell-based assay. Dr. Datta's work at Heparin Applied 研究 Center (start-up Industry-RPI, NY)专注于流程开发, 扩大, 增值产品的技术转移(如.g., enzymes, small molecules, anticoagulant drug heparin, probiotic bacteria). 药物的目的是预防或治疗疾病. Medicines comprise diverse drug products, including biopharmaceuticals and small-molecule drugs. 生物制药 are biomolecules produced using cell systems. 小分子药物是化学合成的. The journey a medicine/drug takes from its discovery to its approval is highly regulated. The most critical questions include whether the drug is safe and effective. Our 研究 aims to explore the molecular mechanisms of drug action. 具体地说, we employ cell-based screening platforms (2D and 3D cell culture systems) to examine the effects of chemicals and biomolecules on cellular processes, 包括细胞生长, 新陈代谢, 迁移, 信号, 基因表达.
